neon museum
My boyfriend and I took a much needed short trip to Vegas over the weekend. Lots of eating, $1 chardonnay, shopping & gold fish slots.
I was really looking forward to Max Brenner... The decor is beautiful, but seating was tight and uncomfortable. The food presentation definitely excited me, but everything just tasted okay. It wasn't bad, just not worth what the menu price was. I'd go back, but probably to just get a milkshake to go. Overall, no regrets except for not buying that cool milkshake cup!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! Are the seasons starting to change where you are?
.
I wish I could go on vacation! Where the heck is this place you went to!? I've never heard of it. I love their design though! So neat :)
ReplyDeleteOhmygosh! We have max brenner here too :D :D but it's just desserts ... :\ and we don't have those awesome cups :(
ReplyDeleteMy friends at Uni are planning on a HUGE road trip (we'll be purchasing a car once we land)across the States in the next few years and the last stop will be Vegas, where we will sell the car and gamble like crazy ... D: LOLLL
even though the food was ok, the presentation alone makes me giddy! sounds like a lovely mini getaway! your photos make me swoon!

Drink me! haha
ReplyDeleteYes, appearance is often misleading. Cleverly presented foods are rarely special gourmet. They make for great photography tho!!!
Ah the presentation of everything is so cute! I hate when the appearance is all show and the product doesn't hold up to it. Sorry it wasn't worth it! But at least you won't have to worry about not trying it!

hey sweetie, sorry i havent been visiting lately. i cant seem to keep up with the online world consistently. it's usually when im feeling inspired that i will come online. i will catch the wave and ride it for a while and then i disappear again. maybe its due to my un-grounding nature that when things around me are shaken up like a snow globe i become very A.D.D and lose my focus. lol*
ReplyDeleteAnyways, Christine, how are you? Looks like you went on a lil trip to sin city! and boy does that ice cream milkshake with chocolate dripping off it look sinfully delicious! and a $1 glass of chardonnay? wow. i could have 6 of those hehe.
miss you

I didn't know there was a full Max Brenner restaurant. I live in NYC now, and have only seen the dessert shops :] I met one of the guys that started Max Brenner (one's named Max and the other Brenner) but I don't know which one he was ... he was bald though. Interesting stuff.
