MARC by MARC JACOBS S/S 2010 + GIVEAWAY

So here it is! I've been longing to make this collage ever since I purchased the MJ S/S 2010 catalog.  I started collecting these as of last year. I was so inspired by all the vibrant colors and bold prints that I immediately knew I wanted to make a digital scrap. I really love the new collection and wish I had the money to add everything to my closet. Each favored image was taken from the catalog as a photograph, and not a scan (thanks Serena♥!). I then made a MJ Polaroid border and just started happily filling it up like a child would with a coloring book. =)

Each of these Japanese printed catalogs usually comes with a small gift. This particular one came with a cosmetic bag, towel and mirror. Since I really have no use for the mirror (pictured above), I decided to give it away to a reader. It's diameter is 3 inches and slides to open, perfect for your pocket or small bags. If you want to purchase the catalog yourself, it's available on Ebay and Kinokuniya bookstores.

I AM GOING TO SEE MUSE AND PASSION PIT IN SEPTEMBER! It will be my first time attending their concert, has anyone seen them live (any lucky Cochella go-ers)? I assume they will be amazing.

LA weather is not happy this week.
As excited as I was for bright hues and pretty florals, I could not help but to be reminded of how I am still a lover for shades of black and grey. Holding on to what's left of dark skies and cold crisp air, I was influenced to create a monotone theme for the photos I shot today:

This weekend was just amazing. Kbbq, jumping in the air, cake, cupcake, macaron, goose, soju, laughing, LOVE♥.... This is life. My title is dedicated to a special reader, I know you're reading this :)

On the Lamb x Strawberry Demonstration

On Saturday, I thankfully attended a strawberry recipes demo put on by 3 lovely ladies. Together, they are On the Lamb. They collaborate together as an events planning/catering company providing a service and delicious food that is definitely beyond the norm.












The demo was really fun because each chef had their own quirky personality. I really enjoyed their humor and their gastronomic knowledge. They were so through and created such simplicity in each recipe. It was truly a memorable afternoon and I hope to attend their future events. Impressed yet? You can view more pictures on my Flickr.

It's raining in LA again. It's peaceful, I'm going to appreciate it because I know I will miss it when the summer heat beats down on me.

I went to a strawberry themed cooking demonstration in Culver City hosted by the lovely trio of On the Lamb. I can't wait to post up the pictures, get excited because here are the recipes that they cooked up: strawberry & balsamic basil soda, strawberry & arugula salad, strawberry black pepper biscuits (!!!) and strawberry banana cream pie. I want to relive those 2 hours I sat in the test kitchen over and over and over again.

Just walking on a dream.

I spent an evening doing the Art Walk in Downtown. Tonight was not like any other. I felt so free by the livelihood of the city. It was like my soul and heart collided and produced fireworks. I was so inspired by the creativity of not only the pieces in the galleries but by the preserved architecture, the street art, and the strong sense of style from everyone around me. There's just something about LA culture that really fascinates me. Downtown, Hollywood or Silverlake, just to name a few, each exude such a different vibe. Although I have considered locating out of California many times, I have to admit that deep down I know I can never leave. I love and appreciate living in one of the most interesting cities in the world too much.

So there's my rant for the night. I am so disappointed that I forgot to charge my battery so I just left my camera at home. I definitely won't make the same mistake next month. I also tried 3 food trucks tonight, Dim Sum, Grilled Cheese, and Fry Smith! I could have not asked for a better night.

How did I get myself so lost, I don't know but I won't be leaving tonight.

Today I took advantage of some of the daylight left when I got home and took some photos outside. I love the spring breeze, the air feels so relaxing.





So many cravings right now, and the strongest one being: weekend.
